Oru

Oru è la lampada in marmo che ho disegnato per Kimano. Oru ha origine dall’arte giapponese di piegare la carta, i comuni “Origami”: Oru è infatti l’azione.
  • Strategy

    When turned off, Oru is a very thin wall element, a light sheet of paper folded by skilled hands; when turned on, the reflections in transparency create a warm, refined and convivial atmosphere. The design challenge was to make a heavy material like marble visually light in a poetic way, playing with an almost invisible thickness, as thin as a sheet of Japanese paper.

Nella tradizione del sud d’Italia il bummulo era un contenitore per trasportare acqua o vino, un oggetto dai larghi manici, quasi materni per facilitarne il trasporto..
  • Strategy

    There is no folklore without local culture. A tribute to the land of my roots, a personal interpretation of an object symbol of Sicilian identity. In the collective imagination there are icons that refer to traditions, flavors, smells of past times: to recall those memories in a contemporary key, this is the project that I wanted to carry on with @tramesiciliane. We often stigmatize these objects as a somewhat kitsch, a bit tarot souvenir …. but in reality they have never received the right design attention.

Per Platone lo specchio era un paradigma della contemplazione dell’anima, attraverso l’anima stessa e la visione, specchio dell’animo umano nella sua parte più divina. Da qui nasce.
  • Strategy

    The Culti Domestici Mirror is entirely hand-crafted by Italian artisans. To Plato, the mirror was a paradigm of contemplation of the soul, and this is beautifully captured here in this magnificent piece with Carrara marble combined with elegant brass, an expression of the contrast between the natural and the manmade, with a design reflecting ancient architecture. Culti domestici: a dressing table that gives a look at the female world with small domestic architectures, a whim with archetypal forms.

    A creatives call where 15 works, in addition to being transformed into wallpapers, also became the protagonists of an exhibition, fifteen * fifties, which inaugurated on 5 December in Rome at Contemporary Cluster, in Palazzo Cavallerini Lazzaroni, in via dei Barbieri 7, which also houses the PPPattern showroom.

  • Design

    For the exhibition – thanks to the collaboration with Contemporary Cluster, with the Adriano Olivetti Foundation and with the Olivetti Historical Archive – the works were also accompanied by pieces of design and graphics of the time.

      Hence the composition n. 5: infinite colors to match the interior styles of cafes, without discrimination. Between pop and vintage, CO-05 is the professional coffee machine that allows you to combine the side shoulders in ten different colors, with the technology of true Italian espresso.

      compact lines, minimalist design, defined volumes, make CO-05, a coffee machine outside the box.

    Folia è un gioiello multifunzionale realizzato in carta riciclata. Il modulo, una foglia, ricorda in maniera iconica l’origine della carta giapponese utilizzata. La calamita nascosta fra le.
    • Strategy

      The hidden magnet between the joints is the functional element of the jewel, from a long necklace with a simple click it turns into a choker and a bracelet. An elegant jewel, attentive to sustainability with simple materials but with innovative technologies. The SIWA paper in fact is a special Japanese paper that in addition to being durable and eco-friendly, can be sewn like a common cloth and does not rip!

      Folia for Opella was one of the winning projects of the “A designer for business” contest in 2012 organized by Material ConneXion on show at the Milan Triennale during the month of November.

      The project was born within the company together with the for [me] moak team to facilitate the work of sector employees: elements such as the transparency of the napkin holder help baristas understand when to add napkins, before they run out. Great attention to the ergonomics of the objects: the tray has a grip suitable for any palm of hand, with a wave grip and can hold up to six napkin holders from the inclined plane to facilitate the user in gripping the napkin.

    unconventional glasses

    Spesso un comune, anonimo bicchiere, può celare la personalità di chi lo ha toccato, bevuto, annusato; ognuno di loro è come un personaggio teatrale, che racconta.
    • Strategy

      ALTICCIO: the cup that has been drinking too much but is still not completely drunk, unlike the others it feels bold and confident.  SOBRIO: the teetotaler cup who does not want to be rude at the table, but discrete, keeping intact its philosophy.  SBADATO: the cup that likes to drink, but to avoid making some trouble, helps those who are inattentive not to spill drops on the table.  LACRIMA: the low-key, humble cup, which only likes to have a sip of wine and wet its edges.  TUBA: the rudest of the team: when empty whistles, when full makes bubbles.  DUE: the inseparable pair of glasses, one cannot do without the other, mingling with passion or bickering for misunderstanding.
